the ingram angle from new york city tonight. am e" froa tourist submersible s way to see underwater wreckage . the titanic has disappeared with limited oxyge n on board. a frantic search is underway. we're going to bringti you allue the details in moments. >> but first, remember when biden said this. are you willing to get involved militarily to defend if it comes to that? >> yes. you are. e >> that's a commitment we madesd . >> well, what about when he said this? e >> would u.s. forces defend the island? yes. if, in fact, there anente unprecedented attack. so unlike ukraine, to bed cleas u.s. forces, u.s. men and women would defend in the event of a chinese invasion. >> yes. well, don't worry about any of that, because blinken this weekend made it clear to china stat we won't even i about
12:02 am
stopping them if they invade taiwan. >> on taiwan, i reiterated the longstanding u.s. one-china policy. that policy has not changed. >> we do not support taiwan independence. right now that that's out of the way. how did the rest of the meeting between blinkeindependn and chis president xi jinping, go? well, there's stil l no call on the schedule between bidena d and china says the u.s. needs to stop suppressing themow and start showing some respect. and all that issue with china not returning. defense secretary lloyd austin calla no s. cretar well, that'll probably keep happening. >> itary we don't have an agreement on that yet. >> this is a work in progress, working on it. will the defensen at least talk to each other? >> well, again, to be to be seen, we've made w that.rtant we think that's important, more than important imperative. think the chinese understande very well, because i made veryue clear where coming from.ning
12:03 am
>> joining us now is eldridge, former trump deputy assistant secretary of defense. a elbridge, as of just a few hours ago, biden hadn't even to blinken after the big meeting with ji, telling the presing withs that he's beee talking to blinken through jake sullivan. whalking y is biden so disconnectedo from this? nnecte >> well, actually, the most disturbing thing i thought, judge, aboutd? the what he saidl he when he called the spy balloon silly, had beeloonn abot a thaw. i think the whole thing here that really worries me is not what tony blinken has said. a lot of what he said is just standard boilerplate. saidit's the body language and e optics. it's frankly the position of supplicant to the administration, as it appeared to be, to get that meeting. what did they promise to get that meeting with xi jinping, that was not clearly get to hap. and the chinese foreign minister just a couple of days tht the united states for being wholly responsible. the chinese have not changed their tune th they definitely have not changed their tune on an unprecedented peacetimn e
12:04 am
military buildup specifically designed to take us on to subordinate taiwan. so i'm really worried. what i fear is the trninistration's trying to tur down the temperature with china, maybe because they want to focus on europe or they're gearin g for the election, but that's just asking for trouble because china can smellks inl weakness. >> well, not only that, but when you put together everything that's happened, whether it was that spy craft that you know, it just kind of hovered over intercontinental ballistic missile five months ago. and, you know, then we find out that there are seven different police stations that are connectee fferent d the chinese. it connected to beijing across the country. and you've got our secretaries of defense not talking there is not returning the then i mean, what is it that we are hoping that their economy is increasing and improving? wh.why y is that. well, i'm actually not exactly sure what we're hoping for. i mean, let's let's be clear.chs i mean, the chinese are deliberately rejecting request
12:05 am
by the secretary of defense to talk. and frankly, i don't think that's going to be a panaceae . that's not the real problem. they deliberately flew aircraft and cut off ships in the taiwan straits in the south china sea. they are increasingly aggressive they're feeling a their oats and they're sensing weakness. and by the way, what are the follow meetings that xi jinping was talking to tony blinken about? well, it'sllow-u kerry. it's janet yellen who just said that any basically of any kind would be a disaster. what does that signal? it's the parts t? of the administration that are most inclined to accommodate beijing. this is this is a very disturbing and let's emphasize here, china really has notingpi changed anything in its policy. xi jinping has not altered anything. ld-u their military buildup is continuing. they are decoupling. they have not their position sin on taiwan. >> i was in singapore. yeah. take a listegaporen. g this. i was in singapore. yeah. okay. >>d, the completeli decoupling blinken appears wacwant a stronger econominken relationship with china. >> watch this. >>p economic relationshih
12:06 am
with china is vitally important at a time when countries are trying to rebound from from covid something the unitedtes ha states has done very successfully. we want to see growth. we want to see success in every part of the world, including, of course, in the major. economies like china. >> it's in our interest. that's what you're talking abou iintereat yout. >> yeah, i mean, look, i got. to be honest. i'm actually just kind of confused . and i bet the chinese are, too. is this supposed to be a systemic rivalry? that doesn't mean that we need to wish for the chinese to eat grass. far from it. bualryt when you're talking abon your purported primary rival and you're sayinyingg, oh, we wt them to grow, everything's hunky dory, that's just not very credible. it's confusing'sonfuses ou. confuses our allies, many of whom are sticking their necks out. the japanese their, the philippines, etc., the australians. and then you're getting this kind of mixed messaging. what does it say to me? it says to me they want to turna down the temperature on china because it's not actually a relationship that they're prepared to go to the ma erature t over there, rather plo and appease, perhaps clearly.
12:07 am
alberts, thanks so much for joining us tonight. and earlier tonight, president trump sat down for his first interview since his indictment with our own bret baier. he wasted no time in pointing out the warped standards of justice on display.er. >> this was a weaponization of politics. this was a weaponization of the white house. this was a horrible thing.adin a candidate that's leadingoading wem leading biden by a lot. they go out and they weaponize is a horrible thing that was done. and all of a sudden i start to see this stuff that biden's s done where he's going around scamming every country. he goes to a countryry. and then millions of dollars shows up into accounts. and these are deals. dois is cash coming in? and here's the mosts disappointing thing. >> the press doesn't want to cover it. and of the press, president trump said he wouldngi change one thing if he got elected for a second term. bu t the media won't allow it. lik >> i would like to be, bu
12:08 am
less combative, but i find the press is extremely dishonesndt and it will not come out of i don't get my word across. if i'm not combative. i don't know. i don't think you could win. t coi think regardless, me or somebody else. if somebody else got the nomination got these radical left maniacs would come afterat them at a level like you've never seen before. and they're not going to be ablea lel like to withstand it. >> joining us now is miranda devine, "new york post" columnists and fox news moniributor and monica crowley ,former assistant treasury secretary under trump and host of the monica podcast. all right. i'll start with you, monica. what's your reaction tonight's interview? a i thought it was a blockbuster interview. i thought it was classicblockb . he offered a spirited and very e of the classified documents issue. and then he spoke very and passionately about american foreign policy, which has really been torpedoed under
12:09 am
this president. he spokeicy. russia, ukraine, nh korea, the iran nuclear deal, trade deals. i think he delivered a tour de force tonight. and i think it's you know, this is something come to expect from this president. and when he talked about dealing with press, you know, bret asked him about his tone and suburban women in particular, and how suburban women foefr the most part, might get turned off by his style o and routine to that is, look, my style, my tone kept america for four years. and i think that's a very strong argument make. stron and what he was saying about. going forward is, look, the press is so innately hostile to mo hoste and to evers i stand for and to all of my policies that have no choicei but to punch back. that's something that we've comeng to expect from president trump. and i think it's absolutely right to continuit's rigcontinu miranda i don't think there's anyone who knows more about thiso know about the trump biden relationship than you in terms
12:10 am
of the laptop, the suppression of evidencp and the, the the the stopping of free speech and the publicatioopping on oflp what happened with that laptop. do you think thado you tt trumpg going to be able to get his message out with the press that is suppressed with the at the direction of the fbi and other agenciest the direct. the freedom of speech. r >> look, yes, i don't think that's a problem for him. he has an n uncanny knack of being able to put himself at the center of the news cycle. ce and so he gets his acrossu ar one way or the other. and you're right, he put it very well that the weaponization of, the department of justice and the fbi has been protecting biden is now both barrels being against joe biden's chief rivalg ,which is donald trump. he knows what that's about. t and so his voters, i think,
12:11 am
you know, it's already baked the cake. i don't think it's any damage to him to classified documents. story that i know brad, this was not an easy interview. this was a tough interview. --and donald trump did get angry at times, but he rose to thet an fore. and i think i agree with monica that on foreign policy in particular, it was just a refreshing change and a a reminder of how masterful he was on world stage when he was president. and what a contrast that t to is just to today to seeing the secretary of statetoda, anthony, you know, in lieu of joe biden craven and kowtowing to president and the chinese. but where i do disagree with monica is i think that donald trump failed to answer that about suburban womenmp fai voters satisfactorilley. e and his answer seemed to be, look, i've got great polls,
12:12 am
that's not good enough. and he then went into a long saga about the the stolen 2020 election. right. regardless of the merits of his arguments. no one wants to hear tha want w. in 2024 and those suburban women are disenchanted with joe biden. diu want to give specific. all right, monica, i want you to take a listen to this sound. >> donald trump talking about china and russia. >> for four years, they didn't t invade taiwan and they never even talked about it. you'll find very few discussions about it . r ev and for four years, russia never even thought about it becausght aboue. ry putin and i had a very good relationship, business relationshipood . o in he knew he could not go into ukraine. i told him very strongly, you can' t do it, and if you do, it is going to be a problem. >> and he never did. monica, you know, trump president trump, along with president reaga witn and president nixon before him, was a master of what's known
12:13 am
as mad man theory, janine and miranda. and that is that want anresident american president who projects absolute strength and isngth perceived as maybe just crazy enough by our enemies that they will not against americast and america's interests around the world becausarou wore they o that the retaliatory response will be absolutely devastating . this is what president trump was conveying there, that he directly conveyelyd it to the chinese, to the russians, north koreans, terroristrussia organizations around the world, that if you lift a finger agains.t the states who are our interests, we will destroy you and our enemies knew that he meant what he said. american weakness is actually very provocative. and that's what we're seeing now under joe biden. and the contrast is so stark between the strength trump and the weakness of biden, janine, that i think most of american voters absolutely see that and they're willing to vote on that nexto year.
12:14 am
miranda, 15 seconds on that. ae yes, look, i agree with everything. and joe biden has really put the country peril the world in i peril. and that's something i thinks se that will be one of donald trump's number one policy attractions going forward, as well as, i think economics and brickbats, as there'll be mor e on the hip pocket tomorrow and the rest of his interview. i don't think there's any question but that the foreign policy issues iew. was in the dd trump column. so miranda and monica, thanks so much. >> and nordstrom, old navy west fell, field mall, cinemarky theater. what do all of these have inanne commonmark in the past few weekv they have closed their downtown san francisco locations and now you can add at&t to the list. it just announced today that the flagships in union square is closing due to, quote, consumer shopping habits
12:15 am
changing. but i think we can guess what is really at the heart of this, the danger and the rampant crimhanging.e. e hear this city is undeniable to everyone except mayor london breed in san francisco dangerous. okay. well, here's the thing. san francisco's a major city. s it has challenges. but let's back up a little bit. hasyou are talking about peopli who are leaving the city, but not the people who are stayingud ,expanding, coming to san francisco, moments after thatret clip there, the reporter explained why he was an outsides the empty stores. >> he was talking about it w is worth mentioning that we are not at union square ore at the westfield this morning because we have been advised it bes to be mayorangerou there at this hour. >> well, the mayor didn't likele that and lashe td out inatemen a statement to san francisco gate saying that gma's reportpot is hampering the city's efforts

to bounce back after the pandemic and blamed the lack of foot traffic for these businesses on work from home and, quote, shiftingbusine shopping trendsss. ftin well, the angle has been reporting on the crime in san francisc o for years crime with laura going back there just a few weeks ago. the and what she reported doesn't quite track with what the mayor wants you to think. >> it's been getting worse since i got here. rybody i everybody's just complaining about the crime. it'sinin terrible here after liker 6 p. 6 p.m., like walking around at night. are you afraidm.>> are you afteu can do it alone? >> she wasn't wrong. justrday 6 yesterday, six peopl including a ten year old girl, were hurt when a shootout erupted between two cars last week. famed author shelby steele hadca his car broken into with $30,000 of film equipment stolen and. before that. a store owner told fox news digital that$30,000 state thies stole $100,000 worth of

12:18 am
dismally. and what she wants to do now is she wants dto to try and rete the narrative because she's lost it. e because shshe's control. we here know it as who are and fighting myself or other activists that are here based iner san francisco. we're not fleeing. we're not going anywhere. and we're the ones that everyone should be listening to because we're not trying to obfuscate a the truth. >> you know, the mayor comes out and she, in essence, is angry that came out and said it was just too dangerous to do this. this video clis angrp four in the morning. and instead she says, you know, crime is dowdos n when. but the truth is that homicides are up 10% year over year, as wellb. as robberies up 14, 47%. she herself tried to have a press conference in in an area of town that they cleanedee up it lasted 13 and a half minutes because someone threw a brick at her. why is she insisting that fin you everything is fine. i mean, it's like the emperor
12:19 am
has no clothes lik. >> i mean, does she really think people believe her? well, wants people to believe her because, as i said, she's running for reelection>> and she doesn't want to be thrown out. but myself and others and the polls are all looking really bad for her. we're saying that she needs t to go, that she's worn out her her welcome. she's been in the mayor's office since 2018, went through the pandemic. covid lockdown, which are among the toughest in the nation. and, you know, she went ahead and defunded the police in the summer of 2020 and is trying to regain that. she is also with her new budget that she's just presented b within the last couple of weeks. it's not looking goos nod. h we're going a record high, $14.6 billion for a city with 800,000 residents. and she's in that budget. she's even that bu cut money to thedepart sheriff's department. this is really ridiculous.
12:20 am
she is losing control of this city. well, maybe she'll go the way of lori lightfoot. richie, thanks so much for joining us tonight. >> and a submersible submersible carrying. five people vanished on its way to see the wreckage of the titani of thtitanic. the latest reporting. plus, what dangers do morepassengers face? more than two miles under the surface. stayr th us. >> do you guys think came first, the chicken or the baby back ribs, baby back ribs, chicken tenders all the way that grilled chicken and baby back ribs, baby chicken, back, ribs, baby. back in ten years, i'm and tired. >> it really depends which side of the buffet started to show her. you remember the jewelry exchange has stackable bands 189 half carried anniversary bands 399 one carat, 699 two carat, three stone rings, 1490 thousands of gifts guaranteed to appraise for double the jewelry exchanged. le >> correct. these bills are craz. oesn'ty.

>> for every age and stage boystown, dawg. slash parenting. for >> a frantic search and rescue mission is underway for a tourist subversivearch on itsy to see the wreckage of the titanic. the vessel disappeared the shorh after launch, and no one has heard from anyone on board. >> fox news senior correspondent erik shawn is here now with all the detailt s s. l 15 judge, good evening. on april 15th, 1912,th the titanic sank. it too, k more than 1500 livesto with it. and tonight, right now, there is a desperate race againste time to prevent the loss of of thatre lives tied iconic disaster. more than a century lateatr, the deep sea submersible titan remains missing at this hour. is used as a tourist research vessel to visit the titanic site. that's about 900 miles east of cape cod. the sub disappeared in the open ocean about an hour and 45 minutes after he left that ship
12:26 am
taking the dive sunday morning from the mother ship on the surface. e is officials say there is a pilot and what they call four mission specialisthts on board the u.s.n coast guard, new york, national guard, canadian forces tonight using aircraft, ships and sonar in the searc h. >> it is a remote area and it is a challenge to conduct a a search remote area. we are deploying of our assets to make sure that we can locate the craft and rescue the people on board. >> now, the sub is about the size of a mini van. it's made of carbo siz an fiber and titanium to withstand the pressures at the depths of the ocean floor where they titanic lies. that's about two and a half miles down. officials say the sub had about 96 hours of air on board. that means now roughly 60 hours are two and a half days of oxygen left.
12:27 am
the sub is operated by the company ocean gate expeditionssu . you know, it charges customers about $250,000 for the privilege to see the titanic wreckage for themselves, we're told. on board is a british businessman who is an explorer as well as a french titanic expert. and within the hour, the company saysthemselves.an te yet to establish any communication with the crew. they say c the though is designd to surface by itself if it does run into trouble . but sadly, just so far as ofil this moment, there is stilling e sign of it. >> all right, eric, thanks so ni much. joining me now is michael zinser, a navy diver for 20 years and former director, the dive program at florida state university. michael, you call this a hostile underwater environment. what do you mean by that? undewell, that's and any time you're working extreme depths, especially when you're talking over 13,000 feet, it's going to be a hostile, violent.
12:28 am
first, you got surface conditions that you have to dea l with. what and right now, i don't know what the conditions are, whereth search is going on. but if the vessel is on. the surface it would be very difficult to see. you know, that's if you look at the imag e that you havee on screen right now, you're only looking at the very top of a submarineu have on- thy on a surface. okay. and they're looking for radar. >> see it.o on it would be very difficult to track. so, michael, i guess what you're saying is no one knows where it is at this point. arlls , don't i don't know what they're actually doing in military. >> and the search is goinge in . but you would know if they found it. that's that' is one thing that e know. but one when you're one.on >> former british navy officer warned of a major concern. >> take a look at this. there could have been anhey co accident. it could have become entangled in the wreckagule of titanic. it could indeed have had a catastrophic. >> the answer is we don't knowot just yet. okay know..
12:29 am
>> entangled in the wreckage. interesting. that's true. >> but they would have to gett pretty deep and it would have to sit rightwould on it, too, n entangled unless there's some type of rigging there thats still floating. the somewhat actually have to hit on the bottom d ha, probably get entangled with it. that's a possibility. that is possibility. but if they're that close to it had y hadtheypower and the lights, there's a good chance that they would be able to send some typ sen e of float some type ofe signal to the surface saying they were stuck. >> i'm not sure allattach the equipment attached to that vessel, buedt definitely typically have some type of emergency response. >> they get to the surface. well, if the navy if the navy had any possibility of getting in touch with them, even with a robot, they could do that. but unless they don't know orow unless it's entangled, there's can you you can't read the tea leaves here. >> i wouldn't even attemptould to read the tea leaves. know there's so many variablesoe
12:30 am
that you're dealing with when you're working at that depth, especially when you're doing when the sonar images, the sound images, if you look at the thermocline, is down aboud t 200 meters. the sound that penetratesthat the thermal line is minimal compared to the sound. the sonator image sounds that they are that they're sending down. it's almost like a ping pong ball hitting the table as it bounces reflects off the thermocline. so being able to break downwher to about a thousand meters where the titanic sitse ti is t worst area to be able to penetrate. in fact, during the cold war, submarines used to hide inre the thermocline because it's so hard to locate, identify and track any vessel in area. so here with surface searches, with sonar, with other with other technology, it was being done on the surface. that makes it very difficult. they need to get a client and
12:31 am
to try to track and identify. and ifdentify. submarine has a g device sending off pings, again, the sound would bounce off the thermocline and make idt high on the subject. >> all right, michael, thanks so much for your expertise. all right. and to democrats, just can't get it out. another is historic. and meghan and harr get the royal heave. raymond arroyo has the details seen and unseen next. >> and new this country was in trouble when it went to a bank. >> and the guards like here's my sir. you're in a bank. you have to wear a mask. this was going to be a deposit. now it's a robbery. we're all in this together. men can have babies. i don't care what they say. i feel something. >> take some metamucil. this problem's going to work its way out.
